The black sheep of Brühl
Brühl -
The parting is difficult for him: Parish Vicar John Krautkramer must leave after six years in the communities in Brühl. The 65-year-old had practiced at Cardinal Joachim Meisner criticism of the principle of rotation of the Catholic Church.
The four Brühler priests who until now had their permanent communities, should now turn in all the churches hold their fairs - including those of their colleagues. Ten parishes, ten churches should be as packed, "said Krautkrämer to EXPRESS. "It is not in Brühl, the need for the rotation."
The parish vicar refused to obey the order of the Archdiocese episode: "People want this rotation does not. The relationship with the church has changed. The people want these days have a permanent contact, "he explains. "These concerns I have expressed to the bishop." Consequence, the vicar will be deducted from Brühl and moved to Cologne.
The city Krautkrämer knows well: For 18 years he was a priest in folding rule - until he took a sabbatical and worked with Zen meditation. When he wanted to return after the break back in his office, he informed the archdiocese that he would in future only be used as a parochial vicar.
John Krautkramer, the awkward man of God: he protested in 1989 against the Cologne Cathedral as Archbishop Meisner introduction, "because of his special election, the electoral rules had been changed!" He repeatedly denounced in the letter to the Archdiocese of abuses in the church.
His transfer from Brühl, however, he regarded with a crying and one laughing eye: "A disciplinary transfer can not speak. Then in the south of Cologne - that's more of a reward. Together with a priest I will be for a town with three churches - Severin, Maternus and St. Paul - for the Church of St. Severin in charge. "Johannes Krautkrämer refused to comply.
